Therapy Works (Private Limited)

Therapy Works was established in 2007 in response to the growing demand for highly qualified professionals who work sensitively and creatively with people and are equipped with a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic tools to serve the people of Pakistan, who have no mass emotional health support from established sources.

There are currently two existing mental health paradigms in Pakistan: conventional psychiatry and clinical psychology. 180 million people are currently provided health-care by less than 500 psychiatrists, primarily confined to 5 major cities only. Counseling and therapy within these approaches is limited to pharmacology (medical model) and CBT practice; both are underpaid and overworked.

The rest of the people of Pakistan have no support in an environment where violence, unemployment, extremism and terrorism create severe anxiety, frustration, anger and fear.

Therapy Works is bringing emotional health on a mass scale to the people of Pakistan by training more and more individuals in Counseling and Psychotherapy, a concept that does not exist in Pakistan.

We offer a wide range of diverse services including in-client facilities, out-client services, family support services, internationally-accredited training (fully accredited by the Counseling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body, United Kingdom - CPCAB, UK), corporate services, charitable services along others.
